I feel guitly but

Hello everyone who may read this,

I feel really guilty for not paying attention for this blog but the fact is, I didn't ignore or forget about it but rather was and still and will be very busy that I decided to mark this project as 'Slow Progress' but I don't really wish to put it on 'Hold' because I am doing this on daily basis with other projects and activities.

My Projects as explained on my Wiki  are a lot, not to mention my activities and roles. Putting this project now on Hold is a mistake IMHO and the best thing to do is to carry on but with slow and careful steps. I've burned out many many times with overkill activities and lots of projects.

You see, I didn't really stop IamNewToLinux at all. I'm guiding and helping 'new' users to Linux on daily basis. Phone calls, Whatsapp, Facebook, face to face, just name it ... I'm converting people left and right. Supporting so many people and offering all kind of advices. So, this project is indeed alive but with no direct activities which may be labelled "IamNewToLinux" because once you believe in an idea and would love to actually do it with passion, names, labels, etc is just something optional to use if you know what I mean :)

What I am trying to say, I don't need to put each activities under a certain label or project. I have dedicated almost all my time for FOSS by being a Linux Advocate and Contributor.

The reason why I'm taking the huge burden of so many projects at the same time is because I highly believe in Linux and its power and ability to change the world to a better place.

Hope one day I could find sometime to take this project to the next level but seriously, this project is not dead and it is part of StartUbuntu Project in a way if you ask me :)

What do you call it then when someone very new to Linux who has never ever heard nor seen nor used it on his/her entire life and you take the time and create a full guide for him/her? that is indeed, part of this very project so do I have to label this as 'IamNewToLinux' activity? I don't think that is needed ;)

Thank you for reading!

If someone is willing to volunteer and contribute to this project and help, please feel free to contact me :)

Quick Update

I thought to share this quick update regarding IamNewToLinux and The Master Plan that I had in mind even before starting IamNewToLinux Project.

Today, I am done from writing down the first version of my original idea that made me start this project.

Long Story Short, IamNewToLinux is just 1 out of 7 other projects under one huge project called: Linux Users Academy.

Here is more information!

Thank you :)

I will try to update the other tabs and pages of this blog once I have some time for that :)

Patience is a virtue

It seems we are living in a world that lack patience and at some point, patience does NOT really exist so I must clear something once and for all.

  1. IamNewToLinux, while it seems 0% informative and 0% useful, is because most of you who are NOT 'NEW' to Linux can't simply understand the whole point from this blog/project. This Project is meant to be the first initial step that a NEW USER to Linux who is coming from Windows who had never ever seen nor used Linux in his/her entire life will take and go through in order for him/her to understand the BASICS ONLY about Linux. I do hope it is clear enough :)
  2. IamNewToLinux is the first project among many other projects in my mind. I don't really have to explain what I have in mind, I need to focus now on this project and once it is complete, I will announce the next step. Please, learn to be patient :)
  3. Please, do read the Master Plan tab. It should explain everything about this project and if something is not clear, please ask :)
  4. This Project/Blog is NOT for everyone. This is ONLY and I insist, ONLY for NEW Users to Linux. If you are 'already' a Linux User, this Blog is totally useless for you. You already know everything here. So please understand what I'm trying to achieve here. I am trying to do whatever I can to take care of the New Users coming from Windows and offer them the healthy and righteous start for their first step in Linux World. Once they learn how to talk, they will learn how to run and then will learn how to fly. Again, we do need to be patient :)
  5. Please, if you still in doubt, read from 1-4 again :D
  6. If you are willing to HELP and SUPPORT this project, please contact Ali Linx/amjjawad on whatever channel you feel comfortable with. I'm everywhere around - Check Contact Us Page, please :)
  7. This project on its early stages. It is not yet fully complete.

Thank you!
